Our Boat & Location

Our 40-foot long boat, The Explorer, has comfortable padded seats, a bathroom, beautiful views along its perimeter, and a fully covered deck to shield you from the sun. For your convenience, our affordable, family-friendly cruises depart daily (depending on the weather, of course!) from our homeport in Perdido Key, FL.

905638_1445815982389129_4275737721220288320_oDuring the busy season, we often schedule multiple trips in a single day. Our comfortable boat has many fine features. Its open sides allow full views of dolphins, other boats, and our uniquely gorgeous local scenery. The views are unobstructed. Adults are also welcome to bring their own favorite beverages or food aboard. We will happily make a suggestion of our favorite places that do fabulous carry-out food, too. Bart and Tabitha have lived half their lives in Orange Beach and they know everything about the area.

We want to make your trip as enjoyable and memorable as possible. For breakfast, there is one place that makes all the others pale in comparison: Ruby Slipper Café (a New Orleans landmark) has made their way to Orange Beach. For lunch and dinner, make sure you eat at Cosmo’s, Doc’s Seafood, Live Bait, and Shipp’s Harbour Grill — all in Orange Beach, Alabama. In Gulf Shores, we highly recommend DeSoto’s Seafood Kitchen for the freshest food and friendliest service.

I can’t mention Gulf Shores without mentioning the oldest landmark there: Souvenir City. Gulf Shores Souvenir City is our favorite store for the best selection of souvenirs on the island. Did you know that Souvenir City is the only American-owned (by a local family) and operated souvenir shop in Gulf Shores? We love the fudge at Souvenir City in Gulf Shores, and a picture in front of the shark’s mouth is a must! Matt’s Ice Cream in Gulf Shores (2 locations) is a definite “must stop” for homemade ice cream. Matt’s key lime pie homemade ice cream is made with DeSoto’s key lime pie.
